Howling Rocks is a brewing company centered around American Folklore. Each beer is designed to embody one of these many folktales. In this series we had 6 beers which told 6 different stories. Telling stories has been around for centuries. Over time the method has changed from verbal to written. The goal behind this combination of Folktale and beer is to expand the way in which we share stories. The idea being to share a beer, share a story.
I wanted this brand to stand out from other craft brewing companies so I took the idea of telling the stories of lesser known folktales and put those stories on the labels. I Illustrated all 6 of the characters and I made sure to give each beer its own color scheme to help seperate the flavors. I took the unique look of the characters and incorperated them into the marketing for the brand (magazine ads, social media, and snapchat filters).
